Care Label

What is a Care Label

A care label provides essential instructions for the proper maintenance of a garment. It must be securely attached to most clothing items to ensure it remains with the product and stays legible throughout the garment’s useful life. The care label should be visible or easy to locate.

For garments sold as a set with two or more pieces, only one care label is required if the items are always sold together. However, if the pieces are intended to be sold separately, or if each requires different care instructions, then each piece must have its own care label.

Care labels may include symbols in addition to written instructions. In the United States, written care instructions are mandatory on all garments, with symbols serving as a helpful supplement. If you are unsure about the meaning of any symbol, consult your local dry cleaner for clarification.

Extensive Range of Choices

We offer a comprehensive selection of care labels, featuring two of the most popular materials: nylon and satin. Satin care labels are generally more expensive than nylon, but they offer greater durability and superior print quality. In addition to nylon and satin, we also provide care labels made from other materials such as polyester and silk to meet diverse needs.

To ensure the best possible print quality for your care labels, we supply a full range of thermal transfer ribbons (TTR) specifically designed for care label printing.
